Temporary Move

Since Blogger won't let me sign into this blog from my tablet, I have set up a new blog to use for the next couple of weeks.  If all goes according to plan (and it never does, obviously), I will be travelling with some of my family during that time.  I will try maintain a record of that trip on the new blog.

First Plunge of the Season

I've made the trek down to the beach twice in the last two days -- it must be summer.  Yesterday the grands and I accompanied Mark and Belle on a walk along the beach  -- one of the must-do items for Mark on any visit here.  The three Minnesotans (I'm counting Belle) left here this morning on their way home via the northern route, doing the full circle around the lake on this trip.  This afternoon the college girl and the soon to be college lad arrived to mow some grass and to check off a must-do item on the college girl's list before she leaves for her internship later this week.  A plunge into the waters behind our house.  Photos below.

We treasure our traditions!

TJ's Party

Totally Jammin' celebrated his graduation today with a party in the park behind their home.  It was a fantastic day for it -- plenty of sun and warm weather.  The wind was the only downside, gusting over 20 mph at times, making it hard to keep the balloons under control.  Here are a few photos from the afternoon.

We were all very happy to have family from MN come to help us all celebrate.  They brought Belle with them, who is a sweet and very well trained animal.  They arrived Friday evening and are staying with OSLO and her family, who also have a dog.  They all seem to be getting along great.

Totally Jammin' fought with the wind to get decorations hung in the pavilion before the guests began to arrive.  Oslo did a great job of planning and organizing, and things went very smoothly.

There were plenty of guests, and fortunately, plenty of cake.  Oslo hired a local Mexican food place to provide the food, which was great.  The college girl wrapped up some extra cake for me to take home to her Grandfather.  A good time was had by all.
