My dafter requested some "warm" pictures so I have a few photos that should fit that description. First though, in keeping with the numbers theme I have going here and the recording of significant events, I want to report that JB leveled up last week, and has now joined the ranks of the "old old." Our birthday tradition for him is to go to Red Lobster so he can order crab legs, which went well. I bought a cake, something I don't usually do, because -- well, 80.
Neither of us pose for photos much any more, and that's reasonable, I think.
On to the "50" topic. The weather in Holland is pretty ugly right now, with icy roads and bitter cold extending at least another 10 days according to the forecasts. So well into next month. This year has been a cooler year here than we've had for a while -- but I am fine with weather in the 50's and low 60's. It's roughly 50 degrees warmer than my other option. I waited until the outdoor temperature hit 55 before I left on a bike ride today -- I can stay warm enough on my bike at that temperature, but not much lower. (All my serious cold weather gear is in Michigan.) I rode for a bit over an hour and took these photos for OSLO at Spring Lake Park.
Also a sunset photo from a couple of nights ago.

54
Yesterday we went to Olive Garden for dinner to celebrate our 54th wedding anniversary. No photos were taken -- not even of the food, which was tasty. In other news, the Granddaughter returned to her home in the north on Tuesday evening, arriving safely. I have a few photos from her last day here, from a trip to the Port Charlotte beach.
It's pretty quiet here.

Back in Florida
The last time I put something on this blog I was in Florida, so I guess nothing happened over the holidays? Seems a little strange. We've been here since Saturday, this time around. The granddaughter came along to lend an extra hand with her Grandfather, and for the most part, the strategy worked. It takes a village? She returns to the tundra late tomorrow, since she has to work on Wednesday -- a really short trip, but I think she's enjoyed it. Her brother will fly down in early March and help with the return trip during his Spring Break. We'll be here until March 7. And here are a few photos from the last two days. First, yesterday at the park across the street --
Then today in Punta Gorda.
More later.
