Winding Down
Today the closing up process began in earnest, it's a lot of stuff. I do have a list, so there's that. I still have pictures on my phone from TJ's visit here, but for now I'm just going to post these.

The College Boy has Arrived in Florida
According to our plan, one grandchild helped with the trip to Florida and the other one would help us with the return flight. Saturday evening he arrived -- almost a half hour early. Here he is at the arrival area at the Punta Gorda airport.
He missed supper on the flight, but I had some left over spaghetti that made up for it, I think.
His first day here was very traditional, first a trip to the mall for Sbarro's pizza for lunch then a walk around Ollie's Pond.
We spent some time sitting on Ollie's bench, with a nice breeze it was an ideal spot for a sit down.
Supper was the traditional trip to Olympia, followed by a group watch of the sunset from our NNDN's back yard. (New next door neighbors.) It's the same group as the pontoon boat trip, with the addition of Totally Jammin".
We took a group trip to the Gelato shop following the sunset where we sat outside to eat our treats. OSLO wanted pictures of TJ having fun, so here's the only photo I took there.
It wasn't the end of the activities, since we also simul-watched a NetFlix show with The Girl. It was enough activity for me for the day. More later.

An Afternoon on the Water
Our new next door neighbors (NNDN) invited me to spend an afternoon with them this week on a rented pontoon boat, exploring the local neighborhoods from the water. Also along for the ride were their next door neighbors from "Up North" who also winter in the area. That translates to all of us living in the same zip codes pretty much all of the time. It sounded like fun, and it was. Here are some photos.

The back of our house from the water. The trip started and ended at Fisherman's Village, I wore a lot of sunscreen and a hat, and only sunburned a small strip of skin. We saw no dolphins, but did see two alligators. Riding in a boat involves almost no exercise at all, but I was still remarkably tired at the end of the day. In other news, the Grandson has arrived to help escort his elderly grandparents back to the frozen tundra later this week. I will post some photos of his very brief stay in a day or two.
