Horizontal snow, but very little of it, so far. The flags across the mud flats show a southerly wind -- almost as good as weather vanes. 75 mph gusts were recorded at Spyglass this morning.

Since there seems to be a theme going on -- both GZ and TT have recently posted scenes from their yards -- here's mine.

Lake effect snow bands are setting up this afternoon and will deposit more white stuff overnight. It is part of the deal here, and winds like we have today are part of the requirements for a good 'event.' We set a new record high temperature for the date today -- 52 degrees shortly after midnight. It is currently about 22. They got that whole Ides of March thing wrong -- beware the Winter Solstice.

Your photo looks like winter. You need another foot of snow to catch up with us, but who's counting.
It looks like a white Christmas is in your near future. Make it a happy one. TT
